Can you collect samples and send them in?

Air samples require special equipment that is un-available to the general public. Material samples can be collected by the general public if proper care is used. We suggest to use a trained consultant for any environmental sampling.

If you would like to submit samples collect samples carefully and place each sample in separate zip lock bags.

Lead paint chips can be as small as a dime or a quarter. More is better.

Asbestos samples only need to be one square inch and placed in separate zip lock bags.

Mold bulk samples need to be 1-4 square inch and placed in separate zip lock bags. Mold Tape lift samples shall be collected using a non - stick clear tape. Grab a sample of the suspect mold using the tape, tape the piece on the inside of a ziplock bag. The tape piece can be 1-3 inch long.

Zip lock bags need to be labeled with sample number and location. Attach a chain of custody sheet describing (1) the address and room or apartment number where the samples were taken from, (2) your name, address, phone and fax number, and e-mail address, (3) a check or money order, payment in full for the samples.
